BHR Electronics celebrates a milestone anniversary

“We can hold our ground with almost any voltage.” – This is something we think we can justifiably claim after 20 years in the market.

On 1 October 2009 we are able to look back on 20 eventful years as specialists in the manufacture of inductive components. 

The company, founded in 1989 by owner Karl Burkhard, today employs a staff of ten and has established itself in the market as a manufacturer of transformers and coilware – in particular with regard to small and medium-sized runs.

“A great number of orders now reach us not only from Europe, but also from the Far East and North America.” – Karl Burkhard, still at the helm of BHR Electronics, is well pleased with the way his company has developed over the past two decades.  The transformers, inductors and sensors produced near Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria have many uses in aviation, in automotive, medical, optical and mechanical engineering, in information and laser technologies, and are widely used in research and development.

The high standard of support provided by BHR Electronics to its customers includes assistance in the development of equipment and transformer design, and the manufacture of precision parts tailored to customers’ individual requirements.  Karl Burkhard is convinced that series and individual part production need not be mutually exclusive.  He considers the success of his company is also due to good quality management:  “The efficient quality assurance system we integrated into our production runs when the company was established in order to ensure the quality of our products and performance has been continually improved over the years.”

And it was this dedicated quality assurance which helped the inductive component manufacturing specialists achieve Certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 in November 2006.  In addition to quality assurance, innovation is of great importance to BHR Electronics – the company was one of the pioneers of RoHS compliance in Germany, and has been using lead-free solder in its products since mid-2003. 

The high quality and service offered by the company is to be maintained over the next 20 years.  Karl Burkhard, the head of BHR Electronics, sets the agenda of his company as follows:  “We will continue in our endeavours to surpass the expectations of our customers and remain an effective and reliable partner.”
